UNC’s Student Health Center has a new name: The University Health Clinic (UHC). The new name conveys the confidential, convenient on-campus medical care for undergraduate students, graduate students and UNC employees that the UHC provides.
Located in Cassidy Hall (on the corner of 19th St. and 10th Ave), the UHC can bill most insurance plans for the care it provides, including Health First Colorado (Medicaid), the student health insurance plan and all UNC employee health insurance plans (except for Kaiser).
Students unable to pay a copay at the time of service, can connect with UHC staff about the possibility of having copays charged to their UNC accounts.
The UHC offers a wide range of medical care related to:
- Laboratory services, including blood draws
- Illness and injury (including X-rays)
- Chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage and physical therapy
- Gynecological exams
- Contraception support
- Allergies/asthma/allergy injections
- Gender-affirming care
- STI testing
- Eating disorder assessment
- Insomnia
- Substance use concerns
- Depression and anxiety
- Dietary guidance/counseling
- Weight management support
The UHC is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and university holidays. Hours vary over breaks.
Care for illness and injury is offered on a drop-in basis — no need for an appointment, just follow the instructions: How to Access Care. Appointments are required for gynecological examinations, chiropractic visits and for patients who may need an initial mental health evaluation before starting treatment — call 970-351-2412 to schedule.
